Úvod: Hodgkinův lymfom je charakterizován přítomností Hodgkinových a Reed-Sternbergových (HRS) buněk v buněčném infiltrátu z nenádorových zánětlivých buněk , které tvoří většinu tumorózní tkáně. HRS buňky jsou klonální B-lymfocyty, které postrádají typické B-buněčné povrchové antigeny. Klasický Hodgkinův lymfom se obvykle projeví nebolestivou lymfadenopatií v horní polovině těla, systémové B-příznaky jsou přítomné asi ve 25% případů.
